Hispanic Mothers of New York Research Center (HiMNY-RTC)
ABOUT HIMNY-RTC
The Hispanic Mothers of New York Research Center (HiMNY-RTC) is a federally funded research award with the Human Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) under the Maternal Health Research Network (MH-RN) for Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The overarching goal of this grant initiative is to build research capacity at 猛男情报局, a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) through a joint collaboration between the graduate Occupational Therapy (School of Health and Natural Sciences) and Psychology (School of Social and Behavioral Sciences) programs.
HiMNY-RTC Scholar Expectations
- Participate in all HiMNY-RTC sponsored activities and events
- Attend in-person monthly research training/seminars
4 hours per month - Attend in-person/virtual weekly mentored research meetings during the academic year
1-2 hours per week - Participate in in-person/virtual mentored research during the summer months
80 hours total - Engage in scholarly research production
Abstracts, posters, manuscripts - Attend local/regional/national conferences
Minimum 1 per year - Report to HiMNY-RTC Center Director any accomplishments or concerns
- Two-year commitment
- Up to $10,000 stipend for each year of the 2 year commitment
