Nursing Education Advanced Certificate Overview
The Nursing Education Advanced Certificate program is designed to prepare the advanced practice nurse who holds a MS in Nursing degree. The advanced certificate is an 18-credit program, which consists of one core course (3-credits), four specialization courses (12-credits), and a 120-hour practicum (3-credits).
Admissions Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended

GPA of 3.0 or above

Applicants with international education are required to have their earned credits evaluated by NACES to be comparable to United States standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you are a permanent resident of another state, have an active RN license in that state and plan to do your clinical practicum experiences in that state, you will not have to obtain a New York State RN license UNLESS your State Board of Nursing does not permit students enrolled in programs out-of-state to do their practicum in their resident state. If you are not sure, you can check with the Clinical Coordinator at ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö.
