Joseph鈥疪ugut has a doctoral degree in chemistry from Louisiana State University. He has taught in 2- and 4-year colleges in Kenya and the US. His teaching and research grants have included The Carnegie Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the National Science Foundation.
