Her commitment to service learning also extends outside the program as a primary co-instructor and clinician for the Small Animal Veterinary Experience course which takes place in Belize.  This course provides international veterinary medical students with the opportunity to provide veterinary medical services to villages in Belize that otherwise would have no access to veterinary care.  In addition, the veterinary medical students provide educational outreach which provides the local community with information about proper preventative care for their pets.
