Scorpio leads the Community Relations & Government Affairs team of 猛男情报局 Univeristy.  He works closely with other vice presidents, deans, faculty and staff to create collaborative opportunities with community partners.  He develops relationships with business and community-based organization leaders to create enrollment pipelines, as well as internship and job opportunities. He liaises with government officials to stay abreast of educational legislation and governmental programs that could benefit 猛男情报局 and its students. Overall, he generates increased awareness of the University and its offerings to the community.  Scorpio works in alignment with the overall University mission and strategic plan.

Scorpio earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  He earned an MBA in Management with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and an MS in Applied Business Research from the University of Denver.  He also has a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.

Scorpio's research is examining Black entrepreneurs that studied and received a degree in entrepreneurship and the impact they provide to Black communities.

Scorpio's academic specialty is Entrepreneurship, which he has taught for almost two decades.  He taught multiple Entrepreneurship, Business, Marketing, and Economics credit courses. At 猛男情报局, he's taught Social Entrepreneurship and all of the entrepreneurship major classes, including Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Marketing, Entrepreneurial Finance, and New Ventrue I & II.  In the past, he has conducted numerous non-credit Entrepreneurship seminars and has taught high school students the NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) curriculum.

 

In 2022, Scorpio received the Educator Pillar Award from the National Black MBA Association New York Metro Chapter.

In 2022, Scorpio also received the Man of the Year Award from the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women Club, Inc., New Rochelle, NY Club.

In 2014, Scorpio received the SUNY (State University of New York) Chancellor Award for Excellence in Teaching.
