March 7, 2024
Dear faculty and staff,
As we approach our Middle States Commission on Higher Education site visit March 17-20, we want to provide you with additional information to prepare for these important days. We encourage you to take time to read through the materials below and attached.
The attached “Guide to Preparing for the Site Visit” provides an overview of the outcomes of the self-study, what to expect during the visit, and points of reflection to prepare you for the types of questions the team may ask. The final self-study is also attached.
We will be hosting a workshop on Thursday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about the visit. Please RSVP using the link provided.
The team will host a Faculty Open Forum on Monday, March 18 from 2:30-3:15 p.m. to learn more from our full- and part-time faculty about their experiences. The team has requested that we limit this meeting to approximately 40-50 participants at the Westchester Campus and that the group be sufficiently representative of our various schools and campuses. There will also be an opportunity for some faculty to participate by Zoom in-person from the Bronx and Manhattan Campuses. Anyone interested should RSVP using the link provided; we will attempt to accommodate as many respondents as possible and will send you an Outlook notice confirming your attendance.
The entire 鱨 community is invited to join in-person to hear the team’s final report on Wednesday, March 20 at 10 a.m. in the Rotunda (Westchester), the French Auditorium (Bronx), or the Bove Media Center (Manhattan). An Outlook invitation will be sent separately.
Individuals whose participation is requested at small group meetings with the site visit team have been notified via email and Outlook.
Once again, we’d like to thank all of you for your tireless commitment and efforts in helping to prepare 鱨 for this important step in our reaccreditation process. We will continue to provide updates and post information to the 鱨 MSCHE Webpage. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
Sincerely,
