In addition to its largest freshman class in over a decade, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö College is gaining another cohort of students for the fall 2023 term. This July, the College entered into a teach-out agreement with Alliance University (AU) to offer their currently enrolled students the opportunity to continue their education at ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö. AU recently announced that the institution’s accreditation was withdrawn by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and its subsequent plans to close.

ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö is one of multiple institutions that entered into an agreement with AU and will be accepting AU transfer students into 15 existing undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including business administration, social work, childhood education, computer information systems and criminal justice.

ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö staff will work with students in good standing to carry over as many credits as possible and will be offered a tuition rate equivalent to that of ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö’s current students for the academic year. They can choose to enroll in classes at ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö’s Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, Manhattan Campuses or online, and will be eligible to receive scholarships. Additionally, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö will extend its Alumni Scholarship of $1000 in the first year of study to AU alumni who enroll in ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö College graduate programs in the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 academic year.

As evidenced by ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö’s prior experience in partnering with educational institutions forced to close, and success in teaching out transfer students, the College is primed to welcome AU transfer students and help them succeed in college and beyond.

In December of 2022, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö College announced that it would welcome Cazenovia College students  as part of a teach-out agreement. When Cazenovia College announced that it would be closing due to financial reasons, it entered into teach-out agreements with multiple institutions for students currently enrolled in their programs and chose ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö as their partner in the New York metro area since many of their students are from this region.

In 2019, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö entered into an agreement with the College of New Rochelle (CNR) that created a seamless pathway for CNR students to continue their educational journeys. When CNR ceased operations due to unmet financial obligations, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö was chosen as its preferred partner institution due to the College’s strong financial position, complementary academic programming and student support services. In carrying out the agreement, ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö supported former CNR students as they completed their areas of study and eased their assimilation to a new college environment.

ÃÍÄÐÇ鱨¾Ö College looks forward to providing AU students with this same comprehensive support so that they can be successful in achieving their educational and professional goals.
