The Dual Degree program in Cybersecurity provides an opportunity for talented students to earn a bachelor's and master's degrees in five years. Graduates of this program will take leadership positions in business as professionals in the application of sound security policies, providing protection and disaster recovery to critical control systems.
Securing cyberspace and the national information infrastructure is critical and can be achieved only when qualified workers are available.

You must demonstrate proficiency in English. That means reading, writing, speaking and an understanding of the spoken language at a graduate level. Proficiency will be determined by a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a test(s) approved by the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Course work completed during B.S. degree: 12 credits

Freshman students should apply for B.S. in Cybersecurity first and B.S./M.S. dual degree upon completion of the 51 credits General Education requirement and completion of at least 15 credits in their major field of study with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Students need to apply to the dual degree program through the Admissions Office.
Transfer students without Associate degree to B.S. in cybersecurity may apply for B.S./M.S. dual degree upon completion of the 51 credits General Education requirement and completion of at least 15 credits in their major field of study. 30 credits must be taken in residency at 猛男情报局 with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Students need apply to the dual degree program through the Admissions Office.
To remain in the dual program, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 each semester at 猛男情报局. Students may not take any graduate level courses until they have completed 60 credits and have an approval from program head.
Students are allowed to take up to four graduate courses in Cybersecurity before their B.S. degree is earned. At most four graduate courses are used for both the B.S. and M.S. degree requirements. Any graduate courses earned more than four maximum are not counted fro any degree requirements.
Upon completion of the B.S. degree requirements, dual degree students should apply for the B.S. degree and contact the Admissions Office to apply for the M.S. degree. Subsequently, students can take the fifth and more graduate courses.
The Cybersecurity program offers students a combination of strong foundation in theory and practical skills in security and privacy engineering.
Graduates of this program will understand security and privacy from technological, legal and managerial perspectives. They will be prepared to create, implement and oversee security systems and security policies.
They are positioned for the advanced supervisory positions in the field such as Information System Security Officer, Network Security administrator, Information Security Analyst, Forensic Analyst, IT Auditor, Information Assurance Compliance Officer, Principal System Security Engineer, Information Security Specialist, Information Assurance Specialist, IT Security Analyst, Information System Governance Officer, Information Assurance Engineer and Information Assurance Analyst. Moreover, graduates will be prepared for acquiring professional certificates like Certified Information System Security Professionals (CISSP).
